He gives each carving the same care and attention to detail, enjoying the challenge that comes with every new idea. By specializing in the unique and unusual, he has sold original carvings to individuals and collectors nationwide. Scott lives in Plainfield, VT where he finds inspiration from wildlife and the natural surroundings.

Wood is a thing alive. The knots, whorls and swirls of the grain often compel a sculpture to take a form apart that originally envisioned. “It’s a magical kind of feeling,” Crocker says. “You’re giving life to the wood…all of a sudden it becomes an image and sometimes you’re not even sure yourself how it got there.”
